Jesus wrecked my life
and the tragedy that it was now melts away like wax. Surviving is not an option. There are rumblings about this earth. SIlence is no longer comfortable. “Then I said, ‘I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name.’ But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not. “ -Jeremiah 20:9
The BHOP:
Since my arrival in Bloomington, Minnesota, I have become well acquainted with the idea of motion versus the verb of moving. It proved difficult these first two months to find a place where I could actually do what it is that God has put it in me to do. That is, to “go” and make disciples of all the nations. However, He is putting right in front of me chances that I can take, if I am willing. Am I? Indeed, I am! And what has He brought to my attention? The simple and challenging answer is this: Prayer.
“You can do more than pray, after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed” -John Bunyan
Here at BCOM, we have Bethany House of Prayer (BHOP). It is in that prayer room that physical and spiritual healing takes place. It was in this room that the Lord birthed in me a passion to know His heart in a way that is yet very foreign to me. As I continue in my time spent in prayer, please pray that my reckless abandon would be complete before the Lord. The idea of motion is merely a good idea. It is only when the Holy Spirit mobilizes that the movement may occur gloriously.

The hope for the BHOP is that it we will soon have prayer watches 24/7, times of intercession, times of ministering to the Lord, and times of silence before Him are all key components.

DEFINE FAITH with your living: the gauntlet is cast
The People
Around me, in this missiological community, are men and women who are decidedly pursuing God and the explosive, subversive conspiracy to love God and to love people. The students here are broken up into ‘cell groups’ for the purpose of accountability and a more communicated sense of team. Happily, the women in my group are also the ones who will be on my internship team, Lord willing. My cell is lead by Bekah N. as our Advisor, as well as Kyndra D. and Nicole S. as our Mentors.
The Vision in Short
The crisis around the world has not slacked in recent years. Medicine advances but the death toll escalates. The heart of God is not surprised by this. But He groans and cries over the pain of His creation. His anguish does not dull. Jesus’ command was that we pray that He would send out laborers into the field which is white for harvest (Matt. 9:38). He is worthy of much more than my life.
Thus, I not only act upon this while I am where I am, but also continue to pray toward the call I firmly believe He has placed on my life for Uganda and eastern Africa. I look right and left and behold those who may have no hope. I see the ones for whom the heart of the living God weeps. And my response is, I pray and move, unabashed.
Come and See!
Come walk with me down this road a ways. It is narrow and steep. The knowledge that God is more than enough and that He sustains me completely in this adventure overwhelms me. But alone I do not stand. Family, please join me at the feet of Christ in prayer as I live a life turned over to Him, ruined by and for and to Him.

God moves in our midst. We are amazed. We gather weekly to talk and pray as we live our daily lives together.
Thought & Quote of the Month:
Thought: The following quote is from a man who was used by the Lord to grow legs on a legless man. Catch the irony of his statement. Are his words something we can say of ourselves as the Body of Christ?
Quote: “We are so happy about what we have received that, if it were not for the desire to keep a little decorum, we might be doing some strange things.”
