As To The Coming Term:
I am so excited to see the Lord move. All the while, I have been so greatly blessed by the women around me in my cell group.

We're a wacky group of people. Every one of them is going to rock the world.
The past week has been one of slow and sad goodbyes, looking toward the inevitability of the majority of the student body (all of the August students) leaving for their fund-raising term at home before they head to their internship sites. We, the January students that remain here, are sad to see them go. However, looking forward to an entirely new dynamic with the incoming class, we suffer with a smile, knowing that while we miss our dear friends, it is for the Gospel we share this small sadness. It is for the glory of God we are joyful in easy and difficult times. Obviously, this time is not really a trial or hardship, nor is it a great sacrifice. We have not yet really tasted the bitter hardship which many daily face. But we want to.
As my mentor and group prayed for me, that I would be prepared to love God well and mentor better than my own ability, we cried and and hugged, loving each other so much because of the common bond of our love for Jesus Christ.

But,as David Livingstone said, "I have never made a sacrifice."
Even after his lifetime of illness, losing his family and beloved wife, and having been attacked by lions, all for the sake of obeying God in Africa, Livingstone had the understanding that God is bigger than all of that and so deserves anything and everything. When I think of His love, I can't help but say "Yep, with the help of God, I can, shall, and must live for Him!" Why? I am compelled by love!
Thank you for your support and still caring to know what goes on in the life of this barefoot little girl.
