Testify of Him

One of my girls I mentor is named Holly.

Holly came here and immediately fell ill. Several weeks of prayer revealed spiritual warfare against her body. This had to do with demonic influences with which her extended family had been involved (which opened up their family to attack). Not only was she severely ill on a weekly basis, but her jaw had been dislocated a year prior, leaving her able to only open it about half an inch. Her illness left her very weak, unable to keep food down, constantly fatigued, with sever stomach pains equal to that of childbirth. She had the doctors completely stumped. The y could not diagnose why, but her intestines were hardening. For myself, the Lord moved me to fast and to pray, calling to join me a few other women. After having felt the release of the Lord to pray over Holly and do battle for her. At His direction and with some wise counsel, I gathered some fellow Ministry Interns to fast and pray for a day. We felt that we must take this battle very seriously, bringing it before the Lord with humility, waiting to hear what He would have us do. That evening, we met with Holly and prayed, beginning to break things off in Jesus’ name and asking the Lord to heal. This went on for a few hours. Finally, we felt the release of the Lord to go to bed. The next morning, Holly’s excited cries filled the hallway outside my bedroom, echoing in the dorm. When I rose to see what the commotion was about, she explained: "Katelyn! Jesus healed my jaw!" Opening it as wide as possible, she displayed the complete healing with a totally open mouth. "This morning, I woke up and felt like Jesus was telling me to open my jaw and I did!" Her energy level surprised me greatly. She has had no side pain since.

This is only one example of what happens when the people of God give to Him that of which He is most worthy: our time. The Lord has been growing me tremendously in the place of prayer and intercession. I have finally found where I belong. And that is in the presence of God. I love to love Jesus. The way He is awakening His bride astounds me. I pray that He would let his fire fall, that the wind of His Spirit would fill the lungs of His church. Father, awaken us! We cry out for You to pour out Your Spirit in a fresh way! Let the testimony of our life not be that we are neither hot nor cold. I beg You to move, Lord.
